The Moston Small Cinema is a volunteer-run 70 seater independent screening space at the Miners Community Arts and Music Centre in Moston, North Manchester. The space features authentic cinema seating, blu-ray and digital playback, and a 5.1 sound system, as well as a licensed bar.
The cinema can be used for film screenings, theatre shows, conference events and parties. The Miners complex also boasts a cafe, meeting room, function room, games room.
The cinema was built by more than 60 volunteers over 12 weeks in 2012, with materials donated by organisations and businesses in the NW.
Moston Small Cinema was created as part of the Small Cinema in Moston artist residency project, commissioned by Buddleia and Manchester City Council, and designed and delivered by Re-Dock artist Sam Meech.
